Introduction: Shared services is the new reform as local governments seek efficiencies but also seek to  ensure public control and oversight.  We worked with all the local government associations in NYS and the School superintendents to conduct a series of surveys in 2013 of all cities, towns, villages, counties and school districts in NYS.  Results of these surveys can be found below.  In addition, case studies of service sharing are profiled below.
